Frequently asked questions
What are StockX seller levels?
A five-tier volume ladder. Every seller starts at Level 1 with a 9% transaction fee; hitting sales thresholds (counted in completed sales and sales value over a rolling window) moves you up through Level 5, where the fee drops to about 7%. Payment processing stays at 3% throughout. The two-point spread matters at volume: on $10,000 of quarterly sales, the top level keeps an extra $200.
How do I get lower StockX fees?
Sell more, cancel less. Level progression is driven by completed sales volume within the qualification window, and penalties for order issues can hold you back. StockX also runs periodic seller promotions with reduced fees on specific categories or windows. There is no negotiation channel at small scale: the published level ladder is the whole game, so the fee field here is editable to model any tier.
Are there other StockX costs besides these two fees?
Shipping is the main one to check: StockX provides a prepaid label for sneakers in most regions, but some categories and countries shift shipping cost to the seller. Failed sales are the other: shipping late, or an item failing verification, triggers a penalty charge. Neither appears in this calculator, so treat the payout shown as the clean-sale number.
Do StockX fees change?
They have, several times: StockX has adjusted level thresholds, base rates and the payment processing percentage since the seller program launched. The 9% and 3% defaults are typical current figures for a Level 1 seller, but both fields are editable: read your effective rate from a recent sale's payout breakdown and enter it here before repricing inventory.
