What commission does GOAT charge sellers?

The base commission is 9.5% for sellers in good standing. It is tied to your seller rating: cancellations, failed confirmations and problem orders push the rating down and the commission up, with penalized tiers reaching 15–25%. Keep confirmation and ship times clean and the 9.5% holds. The rate is set per account, so check yours in the GOAT app and enter it here.

Why is the seller fee different in other countries?

The flat seller fee covers processing and shipping infrastructure, and GOAT prices it by region: $5 in the US, with higher amounts in many other countries to reflect logistics costs. It is charged per sale on top of the commission, which makes it proportionally heavier on cheap pairs: $5 is 2.5% of a $200 sale but 6.3% of an $80 one.

Can I avoid the 2.9% cash-out fee?

Not by batching: the fee is a percentage of the amount withdrawn, so waiting and cashing out a larger balance pays the same rate. It applies whenever you move funds from your GOAT seller balance to a bank or PayPal account. Treat it as part of the true fee load; this calculator already folds it into the payout number, which is why total fees land near 14.6% rather than the quoted 9.5%.

Is GOAT or StockX cheaper for selling sneakers?

At base rates the all-in math is close: GOAT's 9.5% + $5 + 2.9% cash-out takes about 14.6% of a $200 sale, while StockX's 9% transaction fee plus 3% processing takes a flat 12%. GOAT gets relatively cheaper on expensive pairs as the $5 dilutes, and StockX rewards volume with lower-fee seller levels.
