Frequently asked questions

Is it ever better to price just under $15 on Poshmark?

Rarely. At $14.99 the flat $2.95 fee leaves $12.04; at $15.00 the 20% commission leaves $12.00 — nearly identical. But below that, the flat fee gets punishing fast: a $10 sale nets $7.05 (29.5% effective). If an item is worth $10–15, listing at $15–16 and taking offers usually earns more than ducking under the threshold.

Does the Poshmark fee include shipping?

Shipping is separate and normally paid by the buyer: Poshmark charges a flat rate (around $7.97 for standard weight) for a prepaid USPS Priority label, so it does not touch your earnings. It only costs you when you offer a shipping discount — those markdowns come out of your pocket, so treat a "free shipping" offer as roughly an $8 price cut.

Are there payment processing fees on top of the commission?

No — this is Poshmark's cleanest feature. The $2.95 flat fee or 20% commission is all-inclusive: credit card processing, the shipping label infrastructure, and Posh Protect buyer protection are covered. Twenty percent sounds steep next to eBay's ~13%, but there is no separate payment fee, no listing fee, and no store subscription to add.

Do Poshmark's fees ever change?

The $2.95 / 20% structure has been stable for years, but it is not guaranteed — Poshmark has experimented with fee changes (a 2024 shift to buyer-paid fees was rolled back within weeks after seller backlash). The threshold, flat fee, and commission are all editable fields here, so you can re-model instantly if the structure shifts again.
