Historically Depop calculated its selling fee on the total transaction — item price plus shipping — and payment processing always applies to the full amount the buyer pays. If you charge $30 plus $6 shipping, run this calculator on $36 for the accurate deduction. Sellers using Depop's own shipping labels should also subtract the label cost from the payout.

At the classic 10% + ~3.3% + $0.45 structure, Depop's effective take on a $30 sale is about 15% — cheaper than Poshmark's flat 20% and close to Mercari's combined ~14.6%. The platforms differ more on audience than on fees: Depop skews Gen-Z streetwear and vintage, so the same garment can clear at a higher price there than a lower-fee venue.

Because Depop is the least stable fee schedule in resale: seller fee removed in 2024, buyer fees introduced, then revised. A calculator with hardcoded rates would mislead you within a year.
