Vinted fees

Vinted Fee Calculator

Vinted charges sellers nothing: this shows the buyer protection fee your buyer pays on top.

Vinted selling fees = $0. You keep 100% of your listing price; the buyer pays a protection fee on top. List an item at $20 and you receive the full $20.00. The buyer pays $21.70: your price plus a buyer protection fee of about 5% + $0.70 that goes to Vinted, not to you. That fee still matters to sellers, because buyers judge the total at checkout: a price that looks sharp against Depop or Poshmark listings can read higher once protection is added. Enter your price to see what the buyer pays in total and confirm the full amount you receive.

Frequently asked questions

Does Vinted take a cut from sellers?

No. Vinted charges sellers no listing fee, no commission and no payment processing fee: you receive 100% of your listing price on every sale. The platform earns from the buyer instead, through the buyer protection fee added at checkout, and from optional seller promotions. If your payout ever differs from your price, it is a shipping or promotion charge, not a selling fee.

What is the Vinted buyer protection fee?

A mandatory fee the buyer pays on each purchase, typically around 5% of the item price plus a fixed amount near $0.70 (rates vary by country and currency). It funds refunds when items never arrive or arrive misdescribed, plus secure payment handling. It never touches your payout, but it raises the total your buyer compares against other platforms, so factor it into competitive pricing.

Who pays for shipping on Vinted?

The buyer, in the standard flow: they choose a carrier at checkout and the shipping cost is added to their total alongside buyer protection. Sellers print a prepaid label and pay nothing. So a $20 listing genuinely nets $20; the buyer might pay $25–27 all-in with protection and postage. That gap is worth remembering when a buyer haggles: their true cost is higher than your price.

Are there any fees Vinted sellers can pay?

Only optional ones. Bumping a listing for visibility and Wardrobe Spotlight (promoting your whole closet) are paid promotions you choose to buy; neither is required to sell. And fee structures change: Vinted has adjusted buyer protection rates by market over time, so the percentage and fixed fields here are editable. Check Vinted's current fee page for your country before comparing platforms.
